Shin Shin promotes initiatives aimed at lowering the environmental impact of business activities through its ISO14001-compliant Environmental Management System and its Environmental Policy.
In an effort to promote "green procurement" (the process of selecting products and services that minimize environmental impacts), Shin Shin conducts a product assessment process prior to the purchase of parts and materials in order to foresee the possible content of environmental load substances in the products. This approach ensures the products will reflect the requirements of our customers, many of whom now recognize us as a "Green Partner".
We are also able to procure ecologically friendly printing paper and inks according to our customers' demands, helping to create environmentally aware products.
Shin Shin has been involved since March 2009 in the Japanese national project called “Team Minus 6%”. Under this project we are actively working to reduce global warming by implementing “Cool Biz” and “Warm Biz” (wearing clothes suited to the season), as well as by promoting the reduction of office paper, waste sorting, recycling and other easily achievable energy-saving office activities.
